To help further their innovation strategy and launch a new series of IoT powered fitting products, the company is currently looking for a New Business Development Manager to join their global Fittings Business Unit.
The job is based in Zaventem (Belgium) and reports to the VP of Fittings.


Be the driving force across all stages of the innovation process.

Test and launch new innovative solutions in the Fittings Business Unit for a period of 18 – 24 months.

• Optimize and modify current value propositions to reach multiple new target groups and verticals.

• Lead design thinking workshops and co-creation sessions with various customer segments.

 Use hardware and software to define use cases, steer and follow-up on the implementation process.

 Find new ways to achieve product-market fit and validate all relevant assumptions.

 Build, Test, Adapt and Scale business models.

 Help further the company vision to attract the right talent and customers.


Facilitate key decisions related to IoT and data infrastructure.

Work closely with internal R&D and product teams to build a solid data and IoT infrastructure. The end goal is to open a whole new world of innovative services.

 Use benchmarking to identify the best technology fit to expand the IoT infrastructure gradually.

 Formulate clear and practical recommendations to further the agenda, based on testing and validation.

 Translate cutting edge IoT innovations into tangible new business models, product features and benefits.

 Facilitate internal discussions, communication and decision making by actively liaising with IT, R&D and product management departments.


Take ownership of lead acquisition and profitability.

Take charge of early sales engagements, while measuring and monitoring the financial viability of new products and services.

 Manage profit and loss (P&L) and plan investment rounds.

 Communicate directly with B2B customers and actively generate new leads.

 Set-up and nurture a pipeline of prospects across Europe.

 Create product pitches that inspire and impress.


Transform internal organizational and procedural structures.

Work together with relevant departments to increase their capabilities to sell and support new and innovative products and services.

 Develop a strong cross-functional setup that includes quality, R&D, marketing, legal services, service management, sales and business development.

 Smartly challenge existing processes to ensure that new products can be tested and launched.

 Connect, pitch and get support from different stakeholders within the Senior Leadership team.

 Create and implement a methodology and plan to help Ideal Standard expand from a product organization to a service organization.
