Charles-Edouard Monroe

Venture Architect

Charles joined the Bundl family in April 2022 as a Venture Architect.

His role consists of working with Bundl’s partners to develop and execute the best strategy that will lead to a successful corporate venture.

He is passionate about the exploration associated with building new ventures and using (and discovering) relevant innovation frameworks that enable him to de-risk new business ideas.

Charles originally started in corporate finance at EY Paris and then joined ESI Group, a pioneer in virtual prototyping, where he led their startup lab and launched virtual engineering ventures in a wide range of fields from industrial-grade VR to cyber-security. Later on, Charles spent 5 years in NYC from 2016 to 2021 where he notably launched his own seed-stage startup, and finally (re-)joined EY, but this time within their Corporate Venturing Unit as a Venture Designer. Here he led the development of EY Coach, EY’s own voice-AI platform enabling Managers to practice difficult conversations. Charles moved back to Europe in July 2021, and settled in Madrid with his family which led him to Bundl.

He is a climber and a ski-alpinist, loving the exploration associated with finding new climbing routes or skiing steep couloirs, and the mental preparation it requires.

He has skied as far north as the North Cape in Norway, and as far south as Mount Hermon in Lebanon.
